Wednesday’s final episode: what the reviews are saying | will there be a second season?

Wednesday Addams’ season one finale not only reveals the true perpetrator and solves Nevermore’s 30-year-old murder mystery, but it also sets up future challenges for her.

Jenna Ortega stars as the family’s eldest daughter who is sent to Nevermore Academy, a school for supernatural outcasts, in this adaptation of Charles Addams’ The Addams Family.

Wednesday Addams’ gothic personality, deadpan manner, and murderous obsessions come in handy when she investigates a murder case involving her family. The Tim Burton-directed Addams Family TV show concludes without closing up all of the season’s loose ends, implying that the series will return for a second season.

Wednesday Addams was able to solve the murder mystery by discovering thatTyler is the Hyde monster, Miss Thornhill resurrects Joseph Crackstone, and saves Nevermore Academy. However, there are new character developments as a result of her investigation that must be handled in future seasons.

Wednesday Ending Explained: Who is Killer?

As it turns out, Tyler (played by Hunter Doohan) and Ms. Thornhill (Christina Ricci) are co-conspirators in the string of murders that have taken place in Nevermore and Jericho.

We know that Wednesday likes Tyler, and we’re led to believe that they’ll end up together by the end of the show. However, in episode 7, when the two of them kiss, Wednesday has a vision that shows him to be the killer. He then changes into a monster called Hyde.

Thornill’s motivation for her plan is revealed to be revenge against the townspeople who treated her mother poorly when she attends their school. Wednesday confronts Tyler, but he attacks her while in Hyde form. Wednesday’s werewolf friend Enid saves her and in the process wounds Tyler severely enough that he appears to be dead by the end of the story.

The final scene, however, suggests his fate may not be as certain. Paramedics load him into an ambulance and Tyler — in his usual form — suddenly changes into Mr. Hyde before the credits start to roll, leaving audiences with a look of horror on their face.

Will There Be a Second Season of Wednesday?

Although Netflix and the creators have not officially stated whether Wednesday will be renewed for a second season, we may hope to expect an announcement soon. Many factors point towards a possible renewal, such as the fact that the climax of the show left room for more stories. Based on this information, it’s safe to say that an announcement regarding renewal is expected in late December or early 2023.
