Jim Parsons jokes that he is a veritable expert on ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

In The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story, an oral history recently released, actor Jim Parsons joked about knowing “where all the bodies are buried” on the set of The Big Bang Theory.

Parsons played Sheldon Cooper on the sitcom for 12 seasons and spoke candidly about his experience in this new release.

Parsons took part in 20 hours of interviews with author Jessica Radloff for the book, appearing on The Tonight Show on Wednesday (26 October). He told host Jimmy Fallon that he was only willing to do the interviews if they were extensive. “Honestly, it was really the only way I thought it was worth doing, because I thought… if they’re just going to talk for an hour or two, it’s like,[what’s the point?],” he said.

“At first, I was apprehensive about doing it. It had been 12 years since that time period, but I realized how helpful it would be to sort of decompress everything that happened then.”

Parsons continued: “As we went along and she asked other people questions about that time, they would jog my memory too and make me realize things I had forgotten.

It was like having my own little box of memories from that time in its own way. As they say, ‘I know where all the bodies are buried.'”

In another section of the book, Parson’s colleagues Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki talked about their behind-the-scenes relationship.

Galecki and Cuoco, who played Penny and Leonard on The Big Bang Theory respectively, began developing a close friendship while filming the show. This then turned into a two-year romantic relationship before they started shooting season 2 in 2007.

Cuoco stated that it made her feel “nervous” to have to kiss Galecki for the show, going on to explain: “All of the scenes leading up to when we got together in real life–you could tell there was always something between us. There was great chemistry and we were attracted to each other. That feeling stayed throughout the first season until we started dating in real life.”
