Get to Know the Nominees for the Grammy Awards 2023

This year, the Recording Academy added five new categories to the Grammy Awards, which will be announced Tuesday afternoon. The new categories are songwriter of the year- non classical; best alternative music performance; best Americana performance;best spoken word poetry album and score soundtrack for video games.

Ahead of this year’s nominations, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak chose to withdraw their album “An Evening with Silk Sonic” from consideration, even though the album’s lead single won all four Grammys it was nominated for last year. This mass exodus leaves a few glaring omissions in the Grammy field.

Grammy Nomination

With only a limited amount of nominations available, it will be tough for other artists to make their way in, especially when this past cycle included music heavyweights like Beyoncé, Adele, and Kendrick Lamar. All eyes are on whether or not Beyoncé will make history—again. Will Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” become the first all-Spanish album nominated for album of the year?

We can only wait and see.The following post will include updates on many of the Grammy nominees announced during Tuesday’s ceremony. Some former winners, such as Dan + Shay and Cyndi Lauper, are scheduled to perform at the event. The 65th Grammy Awards will air Feb. 5 on CBS; however, a host for the show has not yet been chosen or announced.
